How D-Pal Club manages your scholarship contributions to Thai students. Although D-Pal Club has just commenced our scholarship program mission in 2003.

You can be assured that D-Pal Club spends your contributions of US$ 50 effectively. Our D-Pal scholarship management for Thai students is under the supervision of The Education for Development Foundation (EDF), our affiliate of the Darunee Scholarship Fund working in field of scholarships for over 20 years in Thailand.

The Education for Development Foundation (EDF) was established and became a member of Darunee Scholarship Fund in 1987 with the philosophy of poverty reduction and peace building through education. It is also recognized and registered by the government of Thailand as a non-profit organization (No.255), striving to provide scholarships for underprivileged students in Northeastern Thailand. Its registered office is located at 50, K.U.A. Bldg, Phaholyothin Rd., Chatuchak, Bangkok, Thailand 10900

The EDF scholarship program started in Udornthani Province. In the first year, EDF provided only 41 scholarships in total, and the number of scholarships has escalated every year since. At present, EDF covers 19 provinces in northeast Thailand. Since 1988, it has awarded a total of 207,563 scholarships, totaling THB 311,442,500, to Junior High School students with assistance from the provincial committees selected from the officer of the Education Service Area Office in each province to voluntarily cooperate with and assist in the EDF Scholarship Program.

With the long-term and outstanding experience of EDF scholarship management in Thailand and D-Pal Club traceable Financial Report on D-Pal scholarship Program, you can be sure that your entire contribution is efficiently used for the education of your scholarship child in Thailand.

There is a strict hierarchy of accountability from EDF scholarship management to the provincial and village level to ensure appropriate use of all your contributions.

It is ensured that the scholarship student is always awarded the full scholarship of THB 1500 for each school year. The amount of scholarship transferred to your Junior High School scholarship student’s bank account for 3 years cannot be withdrawn without proper reasons and the signature of the student and his or her guidance teacher. The scholarship is considered to be used only for individual educational purposes - uniforms, books, supplies, shoes, food, transportation and school activities.

Any surplus from changes in the exchange rate will be accumulated to the initial funds for Thai School Grant Program with the objective to enable schools in remote areas of Northeast Thailand to join hands with students and local communities exercising their creativity to solve their own problems and manage their own initiative project. The School Grant Project will be started this year in Thailand and the report will updated from time to time on the D-Pal Club website.
